Joanne Rucker

Joanne is our Advice Nurse and Certified Lactation Educator.  Joanne has been a Pediatric/Adolescent Registered Nurse for many years.  She has worked as an inpatient staff nurse both at Children’s Hospital Medical Center and at Kaiser Hospital in Oakland (neonatal through adolescent experience), and as an Advice/Immunization Nurse at Kaiser Walnut Creek. 

Additionally, Joanne has a B.A. in Human Development with an emphasis in Childhood/Adolescence. Examples of her favorite topics are nutrition, the challenging eating habits of children, and parenting techniques through each developmental stage. 

Joanne is here to answer your questions and address your concerns.  She is professional and caring, and loves the work she does.

Last but not least, Joanne is a proud mom.  She and her husband have raised two wonderful children (a son and a daughter) who are now in their twenties.  Her interests include gardening, reading, exercising, and her kitty, Charlie.
